Trick or Treat!

October means Halloween so go stock up on the full sized chocolate bars and up your street cred with the kids in the neighbourhood!

Along with October comes the changing of the leaves, the pumpkin spiced everything, and flannels become cool again for at least a month. The real estate market usually starts to slow down a little from a transactional perspective as the weather gets colder, and the saving for Christmas presents starts to become more of a priority.

There are a lot of moving parts this time of the year and it is easy to get caught up in the day to day cycles of life. I try my best to always remember that I can control both my future, and my past all at the same time, and so can you. You might be thinking – Wait, my future and my past, how does that work? Every day you wake up, the previous day is now part of your past, easy enough right? Everything you do in the present moment becomes your past, and simultaneously the action you take in the present moment, also shapes how your future unfolds.

Want to create the future you’ve always wanted and be proud about your past? Start looking at what you do on a daily basis and be intentional about it. Everything from your family life, work, finances, and friendships; they will all follow suit when you pay attention to the details and take intentional action each and every day. Is it hard? You bet it is, but it is also very fulfilling and definitely worth it. Give it a shot, but most importantly, stick to it and you will see the profound effect it can have on your life.

Reply back and share with me one thing that you wish to be more intentional about moving forward. And as always, if you have any real estate related questions at all, be sure to send those along as well!

Be intentional, write your own past and your own future.

Take care!

5 Reasons Why Real Estate Is a Great Investment

Real estate is a great investment for many reasons. You can enjoy an excellent rate of returns, amazing tax advantages and leverage real estate to build your wealth. Here are the top five reasons why real estate is a great investment.

Real estate provides better returns than the stock market without as much volatility.

Historically in real estate, your risk of loss is minimized by the length of time you hold on to your property. When the market improves, so does the value of your home, and as a result, you build equity. The risk never changes in the stock market and there are numerous factors beyond your control that can negatively impact your investment. Real estate gives you more control of your investment because your property is a tangible asset that you can leverage to capitalize on numerous revenue streams, while enjoying capital appreciation.
